Benzaknen® Wash 5% Suspension for topical use

Active ingredient: Benzoyl peroxide.

Benzaknen Wash 5% Suspension is a wash-lotion containing 5% benzoyl peroxide that helps treat mild to moderate acne by reducing acne-causing bacteria and clearing clogged pores. It’s suitable for use on larger and hard-to-reach areas like the chest, back, and shoulders as well as the face. Apply to clean, damp skin, leave it on for 1-2 minutes, then rinse off thoroughly and pat dry. Typical treatment lasts between 4 and 12 weeks.

Common side-effects include skin dryness, redness, peeling, burning sensation, and itching at the application site — these usually improve as your skin adapts. Avoid use on broken or irritated skin, avoid contact with eyes, lips and mucous membranes, and minimise sun exposure during use.

Benzaknen® Wash is used by adolescents (from 12 years of age) and adults.
